2006 rINKER 342 GROUND CABLE

Hello all I have a 06 342 that I just purchased. The is a large ground wire sticking out from under my port side engine that isn't connected to anything??

I tried to fire up my generator today and got no response. I'm assuming this ground wire goes to my genny?

does this sound correct since this is my first boat with a generator i'm still learning the ins and outs of my rinker!!!

And where does it reconnect ?

Pretty sure I see pos And neg on outside front of generator

Bolts onto back of engine

Does it bolt to port or starboard side
Any idea y it would be disconnected??
Would they disconnect it when they winterized it ??

No reason it should be disconnected unless they forgot to reattach if an engine was out or it corroded off.

Here's a picture of my grounding cable.
It goes under the port engine and crosses over underneath the starboard engine I just can't see where it connects underneath starboard engine. Doesn't look like it comes up and connects to the batteries though.
As you all know no room to get in there and see where it comes from

My generator has power to it and turns on when I hit the switch at the generator. But I cannot get it to turn on at the control panel thinking maybe has something to do that

No it's the end of a grounding cable in prefect condition

So what's this about my fire extinguisher being hooked up wrong can you tell me what I need to look for?!!!!
