Thoughts about the Bomar Hatch...

We left the lake and left the hatch levers in open position.  Mistake.  During the drive home at some point the wind must have grabbed the hatch and threw it open cracking the acrylic and breaking the strut off.

Can I just replace the acrylic?  Has anyone done this?

I had to replace the handle on the Bomar hatch. Found it at west marine.

Rig rite. Com has parts and acrylic for them

Check GreatLakesSkipper.com You might be able to get a whole new hatch for the cost of parts.

TheSalt, what did you end up doing to replace the acrylic for that front hatch? We just did the same thing this week.

You could try the parts at Rinker. A friend got a complete Bomar hatch from them a few years back. I think Rinker needed his hull number (stamped in the gel coat often on the starboard side right at the transom rub rail area. Also boat year and model and any identifying data from the hatch. Good luck.

Give them a call and have model no. of hatch.  I got replacement latches and struts from them.

Went to an Autoglass repair shop and near a high marine area and they had the product in stock to cut one, install it in the frame and even replaced the rubber. 3 days to let the sealant set and we are back on the water.
