I have noticed a lot of rinkers don't have hour meters. My 2002 250FV doesn't either. However, if it has an ecu you can get the hours with a scanner.

At best the stock hour meter is based on the lousy Faria gauge tach/hr meter. When my tach failed I was only guessing at run time. I found a solution in a basic 2003 version of a Merc Smartcraft gauge detailed in this link:  ((LINK))   Look for the images and solution details in my update around Feb 10th. The gauge works directly from the on-board engine computer and has a host of data including accurate engine hours/GPH/RPM/trim pos/temp/wtr pump pres/ etc.. Super easy upgrade once you get the parts.

I found it NIB on ebay for about $150 and the cable was $50. Call Merc with your engine number to get the right cable part number for your application. Look for the merc gauge gurus name in the other post/link.

    Hope that helps, Mike
