Adding Refrigerant to Marine Air Systems Vector Compact

Air blowing cool but not cold...has anyone had to add refrigerant to their system?  If so, how do you do it?

No and No...very handy and like to do things on my own but don't want to screw things up.  I was wondering if it was like cars where you can buy the kit and just add refrigerant?

It's not like a car system in terms of recharge kits. It's more like your central a/c at home. That being said, it has to be serviced by someone EPA certified with the appropriate tools. Know any friends in the HVAC business?????

It shouldn't be leaking, these are sealed systems.  If you are in fact low, you need to find and fix the leak.  If not, it could lead to a much larger repair later.

Before messing with the refrigerant, or calling someone check the filters and coils.  Clean and dirt, dust, and debri off.  Make sure your strainer is clean and you have good flow from the water pump.  Also, make sure the duct work is connected to the system and pulling from the conditioned space.

You can also take some air tempature measurements and post them, return and supply.
