depth gauge

What is the best place to tie in an add on depth gauge? The dealer tied it into my bow light, but I would rather have a separate switch.

    None. At this time I will probably wire to the ignition and haven't decided on installing a new switch.

    Why not just have it wired to the "run" position on the ignition switch. That way it will always come on when you are driving the boat.
