Software upgrade and Mapping Options for Lowrance 3300C

So my 3300C software has never been updated. I tried to update it this weekend but it just kept looping. I think my SD card was too large. Documentation says max of 1G...go figure. Pretty hard to find a 1G SD card nowadays. Got one coming so I'll try next weekend.

Looking for some inland lakes maps (Maine) as the installed map is pretty lethargic. Anyone have cheap options? I've already spent a ton of money on the boat this year and funds are drying up.....need to keep money for gas. The Navionics stuff is pretty expensive and looking for options......not very familiar with Lowrance, at least not yet!

    You might be pooched Dan, kinda like an upgrade on a Sony Walkman.
    I just replaced my 5500C Lowrance (2008) with a new (2014) Lowrance Elite 5M chart plotter. $500
    It fires up immediately, fast, pre-loaded with US & Canada marine maps, internal antenna is awesome.
    Light years difference in GPS tech in the last 10 yrs.........obviously, lol.
