1990 206Captiva ski locker won't drain

Just bought this boat a few weekends ago.  When getting it ready for the summer I sucked out 8 gallons of water from the center ski compartment.  I am unable to see if there is a drain hole in the ski compartment as it is covered with plywood and carpet.  I can't find an exit drain in the bilge area.  I've never owned a boat without a drain in this compartment so I figure there has to be one and that it is clogged.  Any idea where I might locate this drain?
