I have no 12 volt supply to the Carbon Monoxide detector in the cabin. Anyone know where the power supply is? Thank you

It comes directly from the Battery panel at the rear of the boat. It has it's own breaker. Should be a 3 amp breaker and the wire should be pink/orange.

Just replaced mine (because it expired)....pulled it off the wall by the fridge and the wire was attached.  Pull the fridge and see if it is there.  My boat is a 2009 280.

The breaker is where the battery switch is at. The panel at the floor next to the walk thru door. The breaker should be labelled CO Detector.

There is a 9 pin connector behind the battery panel. Check that to be sure you are getting voltage there. You can access that from the engine room above the fresh water tank. It is tight getting there, but it can be done. There should be a 2 pin connector behind the CO detector as well. Check there also. Those should be the only two connections between the battery panel and the CO detector. Your negative may also be bad. Check voltage on the hot wire and a known good negative with a DMM.

Thank you for the advice I will try this weekend. It stopped working after the engine was replaced, but I have checked the battery terminals and cant find any unattached wires. Can I remove the battery panel and access the 9 pin connector? I still have no power at the detector.

Check the grounds at the starboard side of the engine compartment. There should be two terminal blocks where all of the grounds are supposed to go. It sounds like a ground wire got disconnected. You should be able to pull that panel out without crawling up behind.

Thanks for all the help, the positive wire had come off the back of the breaker. Found it by removing the panel.
