Drain holes

I have a 97 Rinker Captiva 232. I have a drain whole in the step down into the Cuddy and two drain holes in the back corners by the rear seats. Question is, where does that water go?? Do they feed back to the bilge?

Signed - lots to learn. :)

    Welcome fellow Canadian!

I think it's a reasonable assumption to think that the water will eventually find its way into the bilge.  I'm sure more 232 owners will offer more insight.

They drain into the bilge. Make sure you keep the holes unclogged so they drain properly.

Great, thanks guys. For some reason the previous owner put a new bilge in but moved it back about a foot.

The pump was moved back about a foot so that it would drain more water out.  Great idea except that when you have to replace it, you now have to crawl under the engine to get to it. been there done that.

Speaking of drain holes, has anyone put drains on a 342 swim platform? My platform holds water and I find it very annoying.

Raybo: yes!  I added a 3/8" dia hole at each forward corner and at the swim ladder area, coated with 4000.  Just have to dap it in with a screwdriver or similar.  Been working well, had them added after I bought it, drove me crazy.

Next is to somehow deal with the swimming pool in the fender storage area, I don't want a drainhole to the bilge.

Yes: standing water and add dead bugs..petri dish time!  lol.  Need to brainstorm a solution for us on this one.  Ideal solution would be to glass in and re-gel coat so the water has to drain out that center area, I'm guessing that's expensive to have done.

Yes, a couple 342s on my dock did the holes. I'll have to see if they did anything with the fender area.
