Our 2004 FV342 with twin 350 Mags burns more fuel from the Port tank. I saw a previous post that suggested checking the fuel valves to make sure both were completely open. Can anyone tell me where the fuel valves are located on my boat?
Thanks.

3 ball valves located on the firewall. The center one isolates the tanks from each other and should be normally closed (valve handle 90 degrees from lines). The other two each close a tank off, these should both be open (handle in line with the tubes).

How much difference? I just ran a short trip burning 59 gal and had 2 gal difference....
each engine feeds from its own tank
Unless you open the middle valve connecting the two tanks together
The port has always burned a little more but recently it has been burning 2 - 3 times as much. I recently had some service performed and I am wondering if one of the valves was accidently turned off.
Thanks for the feedback.
What should I look for with the fire extinguisher system?

Dumb question maybe. But have you been running your genny at all? Mine pulls from the port tank.

just exactly how much fuel does each engine burn? how much per hour each at what rpm....remember, even the fuel flow meters may need calibration....
