Has anyone installed a Lewmar V700 windlass on a 2000 Vee 242?

I can't find a pass from anchor storage to bathroom.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions or help.

The solid tan padding has screws in the seam. If you use a long phillips bit, you can get to them. The pass is probably there.

In some Rinkers the access, limited as it is, is behind the bulkhead mirror. If removing the coaming panels doesn't work then removing the mirror may. *****caution when removing the miror as it can be broken if not you're careful. In some boats it is held on with velcro in others it is tucked behind the trim. There are some great postings on the forum regarding accessing the windlass and rode storage locker. Good Luck. MT

Here is a inside picture I guess I can go under the double trim.
Thank you for the help
I know Steve, they put plastic mirrors in the diesel boats to handle the vibrations. In my gasser I have real glass! (Just kidding!) :-) MT
On my old 242 (2000) acess was behind the mirror it was hinged at the top and Velcro on the bottom
mine had so much velcro on it and it was behind the trim a little...once I got mad enough and yanked it, it came off. I pulled some of the velcro off so next time would not be as bad...overdone on that, it ain't going nowhere!
What if you run the cables down the port side shelf, screw down type wire ties should hold it, drill a hole in the galley cabinet, and run the cables behind the fridge. This should get you into the area behind the breaker panel, where there are wires that run into the engine compartment, and to the batteries. Please let me know how it works out as I have the same boat and want to install a pro-sport 550 windlass.
Steve, unlike you I couldn`t afford diesels! MT
