Do you guys know if I'm supposed to have the o-ring in the pic installed anywhere? Dont think i do and it would make sense as to why my temp is too cold. The thermo is just probably floating around in the housing. No seal being made.
I have #6 pit in. Its a cork gasket. Wondering if the rubber o-ring goes in the housing above the thermostat to make it tight? I have to get to my boat and check if its in there sloppy.
Temp back to normal! I did have the thermostat and o-ring on the wrong side of the sleeve inside the housing. Can't believe it. Going out on the Chicago river tomorrow. Thanks guys!
