Inverted trim tabs

My trim tabs have angled edges that face up on my 2000 FV 242. I was told that if I turn the tabs over so the angled edges face down it would improve the effect of the tabs. Has anyone else heard of this?

Yes, can be done and has been done.

I personally don't have angled edges on mine but I have read that flipping them to angle down has been an improvement for some.

Thanks guys, his may be one of my many winter projects.

It worked well for me. An easy upgrade. Just drive out the stainless pin and turn over the mounting bracket. 30mins or less and a 10% increase in performance.
