2004 312 FV cruising speed

My 312 is equipped with twin Volvo 5.0 OSI. with XDP drives. At 3900 rpm, I cruise around 27 kts. Some may think that is a high rpm, but I have spoken to many people including Volvo at the boat show. They assured me the high rpm was normal for that motor.
I was curious to know what other people were running at with the same set up.

320 2006 same 5.0's. 3900 = 29.5 to 30 mph. Was xdp but now oceanx.

My 2002 342 does 30 mph at 3900 rpm.

Why do you say that? Life's good is mph in his GPS, so if you're doing 29 knots and 3900 you're probably almost exactly where he's at.

27 knots is exactly 31.071 mph.

I have 2003, 312 its equipped with twin mercruiser 5.0 mpi bravo 3 drives at 3900 rpm. am at 30 mph. sounds like you're right on to me
