Speedometer

New to Rinker. Just bought a 97 266 Fiesta Vee. Speedometer does not work, and I do not see where the pickup is.
The power is a 5.7, can anyone tell what the hp is on this? First time I have had a boat this size and I am going to have to grow into handling it. But that is part of a different boat and getting used to it.
I need a Rinker logo for the side and a small badge beside it. Can I still get these from Rinker?
Thanks for any and all help.

Dream_Inn Member, Moderator Posts: 7,671 modRY, I have done that with several things, especially at my old 310 slip. The problem is the muck. There is too much muck where my boat is. I use mostly harbor freight type tools while I'm on the raft, so nothing too expensive. I'm actually quite surprised right now how clear the water is. & last weekend I was sure glad I had a lift for my boat, the tide was extremely high...over my pier (which was rebuilt higher than the rest in the marina).

Michael T Member Posts: 7,227 ✭✭✭✭✭My construction men had to tie-off all of their tools. A caulking gun dropped from the 10th floor is a lethal weapon. I was working on the boat this summer at my slip, using an expensice swivel head ratchet tool. I droped it into the drink. A couple of fellow boaters said - that'll be expensive - then watched me pull on the 5 foot elastic that I had tied to it. Simple fix - 25 cents worth of sewing elastic, put a couple of loops on it - one for the tool and one for my wrist or a dock cleat (which is what I did in that case). $25 ratchet wet but safe. Shot of crc and all was well. Working on boats doesn't always have to be expensive! :-) MTPost edited by Michael T on

I've also knocked off the pole on my lift (other boat lift) and was able to retrieve it. Had to have my neighbor weld it back together (aluminum). I guess I had leveraged off it one too many times.
