If I understand you correctly I think you are talking about the negative and positive posts in the 12V breaker board at the stern. These will lift the hatch of energized. It is used if your battery is dead and you can get the hatch open.

I don't think it disables. You just plug in a battery pack or battery with cables and if the hatch does not start to go up, change polarity.

I see.  So if you take your batteries out for storage, like I'll be doing soon, that's how you get back into it next spring.  Duh!

RY there was a long discussion about this a while back. Some insurance companies require you to remove the batteries from the boat. If you do not they consider the boat to not be fully decommissioned and wont pay if there is a problem.

Thanks all for your insights.  Never thought about that insurance angle, and generally keep my batteries in my warm garage while my boat sits out during our long Cleveland winters.

Yup... I use the battery charger in the boat

A portable charger with about 4 or 6 amps is enough to actuate it.  A little 0.75 A trickle charger/maintainer is not.

Hi could you ese send a couple of pictures of the cable going into the actuator .
mines was disconnected but the cable is missing and require a picture to see what missing 
Can anyone help.?
