manual for 2005 350MPI Motor

Wondering if anyone has an online manual similar to the one in the archives which show printed in 1999. I found today after studying that manual, my water pump was totally different. Now I understand there may not be any huge difference as things have not changed that much but if I have it, I'll  sure look at it instead! I may need to remove the electric fuel pump and concerned about those lines. And I'm a little confused about the MPI/Carb deal. I need to go back to the motor as I thought MPI is multi point injection, but has a carb and book shows 8 injectors...on a car with enjectors you hap a MAP sensor that controls air intake and not a carb but this motor has a carb?

    Most of the manuals are somewhat generic.  There are differences from year to year for the 'same' engine.  If you have the MPI..there is a pressure/temp sensor (same as a MAP), but not like on a car...mine has both in one sensor, yet the manual I have shows them as 2 different sensors, this is where your engine s/n comes in handy to find the differences.

    So, if you have the 350 MPI..you have a throttle body that looks like a carb, but is it is really just the throttle plates to control air flow (just to keep it simple), then you have the injectors to each intake port.

    yep, makes sense, and I did find a 2001 manual "and up" which does show the correct pump, did not help me a bit on getting the dang thing  off but it looks right!

    I have in my possession both the “MerCruiser Userguide 350 Sterndrive MPI Models” from 2005 (19.6MB) and the “MerCruiser Service Manual nr31” from October 2001 (6.7MB). Both in PDF format.

    Hmm..well, Since I'm don't know if the Service Manual i protected by Copyrights and such I'm a bit reluctant to publish it openly. I'll answer PM's instead.
