I hate going to the boat stores with the huge mark ups,   what are your guys thoughts on a part like this from ebay?

I am a new boater with my first boat,  thats why some of my questions seem dumb

I bought 2 map sensors off ebay, they were Merc parts though, still saved $20 each.

E bay is fine just make sure the manufacturer and part number is what you are looking for.

I agree bigal. Have saved $$$ with eBay. You can also do a google search for best price for what you are looking for.

Merc OEM parts are often found on Ebay from suppliers who are selling old overstock for a nice discount. Other non-OEM Ebay parts are often substandard with significant obstacles for refunds or may fail prematurely so buyer beware. If it's gonna break it'll usually be at the worst possible time.
