I've had 2 seasons in fresh water and my anodes are barely worn, definitely not anywhere near as much as yours. I'll bet you have some stray current in your marina. Did you powerwash the props, because mine also are shinier than that. 

Sounds like you're on top of things, most people wouldn't even know something was up.

Is there a specific polish and wax to use on drives?

MT that looks like stray current had the same problem two seasons ago it was the guy next too me.

JC, that's my guess too. I've had my drive in fresh water (Lake O) for 3 years. I still have at least 70-80% of my cathode and aside from some growth, my props still look pretty smooth.
