broken compass, help.

my compass on my 1995 fv-265 is broken. the card came off of the center and slid down the side of the globe. if that makes sense. Can this be fixed? and how do I get the thing out of the dash? it sits in a black square flush mount that is in the dash. any help appreciated!!

Aren't there screws on the topside of the frame around the compass? Mine has these, and if removed the compass comes off. You are probably better off replacing it than to fix it.

I have to work on a picture, I can't see any screws on it and I tried to just "pop it off" it won't budge.

It is screwed in from the bottom up. I had the same compass on my 232.
