Incorrect HIN on Builders Certificate

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anybody could please let me know who the best person to contact is regarding the below.

I have owned a 2003 Rinker Fiesta Vee 250 since new.

I am in the process of trading up to a bigger boat and the broker has noticed that the hull identification number on the Builders Certification does not match the number on the hull.

I need to get hold of a revised Builders Certificate as this matter is holding the deal up. I have tried to contact my supplying dealer but they are no longer trading hence the post on here.

Is the HIN incorrect on the Origin, which comes from Rinker, or on your title? Mine was incorrect on my title and the state corrected it for free. All I had to do was send them the form with a pencil tracing of the HIN. What was on my title was RNKxxxxxxx0708 and the correct HIN was RNKxxxxxxxD708. It was a simple process to get it corrected, but other states could be different. I would think that since your boat is an '03, the boat should have been titled with your state, or at least registered with the state.

When I documented my Rinker she helped me with the builders cert.

Thanks Bluto, Ginger Abbs was very helpful in sorting this out. (the first 2 digits were the wrong way round on the certificate). Great customer service from Rinker, they were very helpful. Thanks Rinker!

Thanks Bluto, Ginger at Rinker has been very helpful with this and infact signed all the documentation when she was built! (The issue was the first 2 digits were the wrong way round on the certificate)
