Glue ideas

I'm thinking of putting an RBG LED light strip up under my swim platform. Trying to think of attachment options. I have heard, but never tried using 4200 as glue. Basically I'd be gluing the strip inside to the vertical edge of the platform (the rough fiberglass).
Thoughts? Experience? Wild speculation?

4200 should work well. Remember, anything below water use 5200.
Above use 4200.
By the way 4200 is good for above or below water line used only 5200 for a permanent bond

By the way 4200 is good for above and below the water line 5200 should only be used for permanent bonding.
