Summer is never coming

I am a repairer (mechanic) on the Orange Line. So I have been working pretty much around the clock trying to keep trains moving. We are getting killed by media, weather, trains. We have had almost 8 feet of snow in 17 days and guess what????? Another 18" to 24" coming tomorrow night into Sunday............ Will it ever end....LOL

Bright side, my man... If you're getting paid OT, there is your fuel (to include beer) for the summer... If you're allowed comp time, there is your extended vacation... The thing about bad times, is that they go away creating a vacuum for good times to rush right in... But then again, that's how snow storms work, too... So.. well.. I'll shut up now.

The general public have no clue about mass transportation and how weather effects it, we run school buses and people always complain when we cant get to certain stops on hills

Britinusa, what company are you with (or are you at a school district)? I am in charge of transportation (along with a bunch of other departments) for the School District where I work (in Allegheny County). We contract out the actual buses. I may be looking for a new firm at the end of our current contract.

The press has nothing to talk about, so when (In your case) the snow falls and The transit system slows down or stops due to bad weather there's There story and they will embellish it.

Because my job is considered essential I can drive my car even though there are driving bans. IMHO the media is a disgrace the way they report and how they do it. All this snow did people really think that things would run smooth with no problems????? OK I will stop now...... Just venting....LOL

Ray, I do not envy you at all. I live in CLEVELAND and we remark everytime we see Boston that it's incredible. Good Luck and **** on the media. Tell them to STAY HOME TOO. I love they go out and tell you to stay in...

Boston Boat Show canceled for today........... The snow is slowing down but the wind is blowing hard and the temps are dropping. Going down to -1 tonight....... I will be at work till tomorrow afternoon 2 o'clock......
