Is it possible to run 2 marine radios through my one antenna?
I bought a new 2 way radio for the helm, but im thinking of installing the old radio in the cabin, so if im below i can use the radio if need need arose.
Can i use a 3 way splitter of are there issues with doing that?
Would i need another antenna?
Im only asking because i hate to throw out the old radio if it can serve as a second working unit

1. 1Receiver + 1 transmitter on 1 antenna = Bad
2. Active splitter (expensive) introduces a point of failure into your system, something you don't want.
3. Install another antenna (redundancy is good).
4. Get a radio that allows for remote second station microphone like the Standard Horizon GX-1600 http://www.standardhorizon.com/indexVS.cfm?cmd=DisplayProducts&ProdCatID=83&encProdID=1BFCB309CEE0FEE9385740D0F23313FA&DivisionID=3&isArchived=0
