Dual Alternator charge system

Howdy All!  What a LONG winter we are having up here.  Started jones'ing for boating, so I had a thought (I know, finally had one, huh?)  Dual engines on my 290FV.  I know one power steering pump does all the work.  What about alternators?  Is the one dummy, or do both contribute through the isolator block to charge all batteries.  I am tiredly guessing that they would, seeing you have no phasing like AC.  just a tired question to my Rinker friends.  Have to get the cobwebs out of my winter-laden brain.  Thanks.
