Merc Dumps Cummins

Mercury Marine has dumped the Cummins diesels and went with the VW/audi 4.2 Litre V8 with TDI. The unit puts out 370 hp and 580 ft/lbs of torque. A WOT it burns 20 gph. The drive they use is the Bravo 3 Axis. Not sure when the first hits the market but this will really change the gas option for many given the power and fuel savings.

Yeah, MT would need to buy them soon (I think he is due again end of this year to upgrade).  That way it could be my next used boat!
