New Here and New to Rinker

Hello all! I'm new to the forum and new to Rinker ownership. My wife and I just sold our Sea Ray 300 Sundancer and bought a used (2005) 262 Captiva becuase the Sea Ray, with it's 11' beam and 12,000 lbs, was just to big to take anywhere, even if we had a trailer for it...which we didn't, and, we wanted the ability to visit different bodies of water around the Pacific Northwest.
The 262 is still in transit from Southern California, so I haven't actually layed eyes on it yet but I did have it inspected by a certified Surveyor and aside from a few minor issues like some uhpolstery that needs fixin and a few rubs and scuffs here and there it seems sound enough.
The boat has the 375 hp 496 with Bravo 3 outdrive and a nice triple axle Zeman trailer, so I hope it's going to be a good reliable boat for a long time to come. It does have 299 hours on the meter.
I'm looking forward to learing a lot from all the members on this board....starting with maybe some info on the best place to find filler cushions for the bow and aft seating area! Any input would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Jeff

Welcome to the tinker family! I'm sure there are plenty of folks on the forum that have the identical boat as you, so don't be afraid to ask any questions. If we can help you out, we will!
I am on puget sound south.
I'm in Richland. Just got tired of the same 10 miles of the Columbia River and having to go through the locks to get to the Snake river. I'll miss the big boat, but look forward to being able to trailer anywhere I want to go with the boat.

Gig Harbor for me.
Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your perspective) niether the hydroplanes nor the boat races in general are the same as they were back in the good'ol days of thunder boats and total disorder! But, the Columbia still flows blue and the Snake is calm and warm! Lots of good boating close by!!! Looking forward to putting the 262 on both bodies of water and a lot more!!

There were a few issues along the 1100 mile trip. For one, one of the six "New" tires on the trailer blew apart before it had gone 400 miles. Come to find out 3 of the "New" tires were pure garbage and the other 3 were questionable, so $700+ later and 6 new trailer tires, they were on the road again. Then later the adjustable leg on the trailer tongue lift decided to toss it's keeper pin aside and let the leg drop to the road. Apparently threw some sparks for a few miles before it was discovered, but no real damage.
The boat needs some work, which we knew it would, but overall I think it will clean up nicely and we'll love it!
Can't wait to get it wet!
Go Steelers!!!
