Kitchen "table" birth question

We have a 2002 310 FV that is going to be launched next week.  The table top and pad slide off when we put the bed in the mid birth in position, making sleeping uncomfortable.  The table top slides off the supports and the pad slides off the table top.  Does anyone have a solution for this?

I do not have that problem with my 342. Maybe shorter support poles for when the table is made into a bed.....

To keep the pad from slipping on the table top, you could try putting a piece of rug gripper (non-slip pad) under the pad.  Like this:

I just made a table support for my table in the down position for my 270 FV. I took 16" of 2" pvc pipe and tapered each end of it using my belt sander down to 2 1/8"dia. on the end tapered up to the full dia for a length of 3" on each end. I hope to try it out this weekend. I hope it will keep my table centered.

we don't have that problem on our 310?  how does your table secure in the sleeping position>?  are there 4 handles which swivel out for it to rest on?  that is how ours works.  Those handles have a rubber "handlegrip" on it for lack of a better description.  if yours are just metal, try to find a rubber bicycle handle grip and see if that helps?  Sorry I don't have any pics to show you what I mean.

Your handle grip was added, that is not from factory.  On my 310, I did not have anything there but bare metal as well.  Reminds of the story of neighbor and his wife came down and he slept there...ended with a loud bang in the middle of the night!  Slept on the floor the rest of the night! :p

Our old 280 had snaps for the table top to keep it in place.  The pad stayed put on it's own.  We don't even carry the fill pad on our 342.  I've looked at how it seems to work but never had a need for it.  LaRea's idea sounds like a winner.

My 340 has the swing out supports.  They have some rubber towards the end of them but a lot of it has worn off.  They are just barely long enough to the support the table top.  My 50+ brother ended up n the floor one night.  I like the idea of the bicycle handle grips.  That should help with securing it.

I have found the table top cushion is almost 1/2" lower than the surounding cushions when installed.  That is easy fixed with a couple of towels between the table top and its cushion - brings it right up to the correct height.
