Can a leaking trim/tilt hydraulic pump unit (bravo 3) be fixed?

I have a leak
of hydraulic oil from the trim/tilt pump assembly, (bravo 3) . About a table
spoon/week.
The oil comes out just were the pump hosing and the reservoir are joined together. (red in pic) Those two parts seems to be held by four screws.
Does anyone know of a solution for this?
Thanks
Johan

You could replace it in about an hour. Have lots of paper towels or rags handy.
* For safety, disconnect the battery positive leads and verify that you don't have live wires on the pump. (Pump is hard-wired to battery.)
* Disconnect the three wires from the pump to the bracket.
* Disconnect the two hydraulic hoses (quick-disconnect fittings).
* Loosen, but don't remove, the four screws that hold the bracket to the bulkhead. (This provides access so you can reach the bolts for the next step. You might need to remove the four screws, but see if you can do it without removing them.)
* Remove the two bolts that hold the pump to the bracket (located on the backside of the bracket). Now the pump/reservoir assembly can be removed.
* Remove the four screws that hold the pump to the reservoir, and separate the pump from the reservoir.
* Remove and replace O-ring.
* Reassemble in reverse order.
While you're there, check out the fluid in the reservoir. If it's milky or funky looking, drain and replace it. (3 small bottles of Quicksilver trim/steering fluid)
You can also get a full rebuild kit that includes the O-ring -- Quicksilver part 18545A1, around $100, probably have to order it or buy on eBay. It has the internal filters, poppet valves and so forth. Wouldn't be much additional work if you've already removed the pump.

Excellent, I just ordered the O-ring. Will have the pump up and running within a few days thanks to your guide lines.
