no hot water pressure

how do you get the air out of the hot water holding tank? Cold water pressure is fine, the pump works when hot water is turned on but only a trickle of water comes out. Thanks Paul

I had a similar problem just yesterday.
I filled the tan k and ran the water by opening just the cold faucets.
When I opened the hot water in the galley it flowed for a second or two and then burped a bunch of air before slowing to a trickle. Same thing in the head.
I opened the cold water faucets and they had slowed also
..except the faucet in the cockpit- it flowed fine.
I pulled the diffusers from the offending spigots and found them plugged with sand like grit. Must have had contamination in the hot water lines.
Cleaned the grit out and all is well.
I hope your fix is a simple.

From what I have read accumulator tanks seem to have their own problems. The searay guys all have them and most seem to be moving away from them. I just bought a new pump and although it runs whenever a valve is opened, it is reasonably quiet.
If there is no air, the spicket screens are clean, you know the pump is working well, you don't have a line leak, than I would think that would only leave a blockage. Perhaps some of the sediment from the tank gunked up either your lines or the tank outlet.
