Looking for some electrical advise

I have a 1991 fiesta vee 235 with three problems that seem to be related....problem 1 Some of my cockpit/ cabin lights flicker almost in unison. Problem 2 my garmin gps also flickers in unison with the lighting & if I have the gps on & run my galley pump at the same time without the engine running the gps shuts off. Thinking possible ground problems any ideas? Or anyone have anything similar go on? Would appreciate some input. Thanks

If would say you have a bad ground, and yes gps is shutting off due to low voltage when a big draw like galley pump is on.

The GPS will shut down if the voltage falls too low.  That could happen if there's some other system kicking on that draws too much current -- like a fresh water pump or bilge pump that is ready to die.  

Do the lights flicker if you turn on your bilge pump?

Thanks for,the help.....figured it out this morning.....had a poor ground from the gps......previous owner ran it into the c.b.radio behind the dash....I ran a home run straight to the batt & eliminated the other....all 3 problems gone.....
