Oil Pressure

Every once in a while I get an alarm that sounds two times about every minute and notice that the oil pressure for both engines is showing a low gauge re

ading.....what is causing this??/

Low oil level could cause it, especially by rocking the boat to where the pickup tube loses contact with the sumped oil... High oil level could cause it, especially as it froths/foams and compresses through the pump.. Restrictive filter could cause it, by limiting flow.  A filter that flows unrestricted can cause it, as in an oversized filter system- the volume remains consistent in this case, but the pressure drops due to lack of pressure...

wow...changed the oil and filters as well as all spark plugs......engines run fine when this happens and all other gauges are showing a normal reading.

Did you overfill the oil? Too much oil is bad. It must not be above the full mark at all.

What engine do you have?  The 350MAG MPI only uses 4.5 qts. Easy to overfill.

What exactly is the oil psi at idle, and under throttle? The 2 beeps per minute tone is equivalent to a check engine light in your car. Having it scanned will tell you exactly why you're getting the alarm, and there are many things that can cause it. They're typically a faulty sensor, and if I'm not mistaken, low oil psi will give you a steady tone.
