Trim operation

heading out and if I need a quick solution, my trim seems to work fine going up but "cutting" out when I put it down and then it engages and goes- I can hear the click of the selonoid as I hit the switch, up to now thought it was just a switch- since it goes up fine I assume there are no grounding issues and such related- what likely is to be the issue for this???
