engine hatch motor slow

I'm having trouble with engine hatch motor.  Very, Very, Very slow at first until abut 1//2 way up, then works much better.  Appears to be a big drain on voltage when I push switch.  Any suggestions?

The load is highest at the start, so it somewhat make sense. If it was working better before, try greasing it and check your wiring connections. There is nothing serviceable in the actuator, so replace the whole thing of needed.
