draining some oil?

Hey all, i am leaving oil into the bilge.
I check the dipstick and it is overfilled, the dipstick also seems to always be covered in oil so i think its pushing the excess out the dipstick tube.
How can i remove some oil while in the slip?
Is this causing any issues with the engine?
I have a Mercruiser 5.7ltr v8

Buy one of thee hand-operated pumps that attach to the disptick tube and suck it out.

Did you do the last oil change or someone else?

I put in too much oil and hand pumped it out, easy to do.  Read the bottom of the page #1 about adding too much oil, link for post is below.  Members on here gave me a lot of good info about overfilling and frothing.
