Has anyone replaced a hot water heater in a 1992 300 fiesta vee

I just cant figure out how to get it out of the spot its in behind the air conditioner unit. Does the air have to be removed or can you remove it some other way.

    Wade, mine is 2005 model, but the hot water heater is in the engine room next to the port engine on mine while the AC unit is in the cabin under the bench seat.  Sorry, that is probably no help.  I replaced my water heater last fall.  It was a fairly easy job.
