Big Orange Filter Issue

I installed the Big Orange filter 4 years ago with great results. I change out the carbon each year. However, we are having odor issues again. I took the filter off and re-seated it but did not help. Anybody have an idea what may be wrong? Do these filter assembly's need to be replaced? I would doubt it. Pretty sturdy build.

    Could the waste have overflowed into the filter? One contact and it's done.

    Could be, I would take it out to change the media but clean the assembly as well.

    Also check your vent piping, make sure its not failing or has a hole in.

    Make sure the rubber gasket is still there and did not fall off when you assembled it after the carbon change.
