My Fridge has power to it but it does not cool. Would it be the compressor or something else.

    yep, that would be it....your probably hearing the fan coming on and off which it will do but the compressor is not kicking in. Been there done that eh Handy? The compressors are very well made and seldom fail or so I've read. That control module does a very good job of making sure the compressor does not try to run on low or high voltage, get spikes of power to it and or otherwise over heat and damage it. It is the sacrificial lamb so to speak. I think I changed mine out for $125 bucks and is very simple....There are also a couple of fues is your power supply on the back of the unit I would look at first, but, more than likely that control module..

    try to put it on 24 volts, sometimes the wire is to thin for bringing the necessary amps at 12 volts.

    previous 280EC with VP D4-260, now Bavaria 33HT with twin VP 4,3
