Great Lakes Get Together

Was wondering if any of the Great lakes Skippers would like to set up our own Rinker Rendezvous. We could do Kelley's island, South Bass or even Put in bay. Was thinking maybe August 8 or September 5. Dates are flexible just throw some out there. Any one interested? I've seen a lot of Western Basin Lake Erie people on lately so I thought maybe there will be some interest.

    We have a group of friends headed to Maumee Bay, Middle Bass and Kelly's the first week of August.  I'm the only Rinker owner of that group though.

    We will be in putinbay Aug. 8th.  Stodge will your group still be at islands?  We need more St Clair/ lake Erie boaters to chime in!!!  Let's get a Rinker rendezvous going.   We tried up in St Clair a couple years ago.   I don't remember if it ever happened because I couldn't attend that weekend.

    Fraid not.  We are in Maumee 8/1, 8/2, 8/3 Middle Bass/PIB 8/4, 8/5 and Kelly's 8/6.

    We would be in for sure!  I would prefer the Sept date as we will just be getting back from there the weekend before.  If August it is we will make it however.  Coming from Cleveland.

    Lake St Clair here. Not sure about making it to PIB in August, as we're going in July, but if that doesnt work out it'd be fun to party with you guys.

    Lets go with September 5 as that seems to work for more people. We could use Kelleys island two marinas there short ride to Put in bay and it's quieter for those who might have children plus shore power for those with out a gen. Suggestions?

    JC I just got a wedding invitation for that Saturday.   Not happy......  We always try to plan our summers b/4 other people try to plan them for us.   Aka we always say we have a boat trip planned.   But we cannot miss this wedding.   We can try to make it over their Sunday since its labor day weekend if anyone is going to stay longer

    We spend Labor Day at Belvidere Boat Club on the North Channel off the St. Clair River.  But we'll wave on the way down to Maumee Bay on Aug 1.

    Hi JC, I'm out of MacRay in St. Clair and I would like to go. I just got back from 4 days at PIB and had a great time! definitely worth going back.

    As a suggestion for anyone visiting PIB that does not want to use the public docks, I suggest getting a dock at the Middle Bass Island State Park and using the ferry to come to PIB. The marina at Middle Bass Island is a great place to stay. Floating docks with power and water, air conditioned bath and rest room facilities. The staff there is very helpful, just alert them when you arrive and they help you get into your slip.

    Four days at PIB I would need a new liver. Been wanting to try middle bass state park so let's plan to try there. Looks like the weekend of September 5 is the weekend.

    The challenge is ON!!!!! Calling all Great Lakes Rinker Owners. A while back a friend showed me a you tube video made by (sorry to swear on this forum) some sea ray guys (they don't deserve caps lol). If you RINKER men (REAL men, that is) are making a run on Lake St. Clair-Put In Bay how about a RINKER video. Want to see what the sr guys did? Google Lake St. Clair Put In Bay and click on the you tube video Put In Bay Trip 2013. I'm sure RINKER guys can do better ;-)

    Actually a pretty cool video....I do believe a Rinker guy can do better though.  My crew of the Julia May will meet you guys (I dock at Cedar Point/Sandusky) for the day/night of Saturday September 5th!  Is Middle Bass your target?  Being Labor Day weekend, that will be a crowded (and awesome party) weekend at Put In Bay so you may need to make a dock reservation http://ohiostateparks.reserveamerica.com/marina/middle-bass-island-state-park/r/marinaDetails.do?contractCode=OH&parkId=960165. The website does show availability right now.

    I think middle bass will make a nice base of operation for all us. Plus there is a pub and winery there, ferry service to PIB also.

    I haven't seen any activity on this thread for a while and I am wondering if any Rinker mates are coming to Middle Bass Island for Saturday Sept 5th.  The Julia May will be there if anyone is planning on making it.
