Dual Purpose battery for 212

Looking to replace my battery this year. Its at least 5 years old and want to be proactive. Current unit is a deep cycle Interstate 690MCA. Was going to do a straight replacement with same specs(purchased boat with this battery already in it) but decided to look in the merc manual for specs. Merc specs a 950mca. I don't see any deep cycle batteries out there with that high a rating. How important is the 950 rating and why is the 690 working. Will I notice better starting with higher MCA?.   There is an Interstate  27m with 845mca that looks good.  Light use on the hook,mainly radio/cd player. Single battery set up.

You currently have a wet cell battery. Very 19th century. Replace it with the best AGM marine battery you can afford. Pricey but worth it. Good info here:
