steering rack and pinion action

is there any way to adjust the rack and pinion on a 2005 212 rx1? at slow speeds it has ALOT of slop, I have about 1/4 to 1/2 turn both ways like the pinion isn't engaged fully, if that possible, or maybe the rack has slop at the cable. anyone have an idea let me know! thanks!!!
