342 Owners, What Prop size and pitch are you running on your Bravo 3 with 350 Mag

Title says it all, I am wondering if most are running the same size and pitch or are we varied.

I had 24P to start and the boat was a dog and would not even hit max rpm with 1 person and light fuel load. Dropped to 22P and all the difference in the world.

Alswagg/BD - I hosted a family party of 12 on my 342 this past holiday weekend and had real issues getting up on plane.  Your post is making me consider a quick change out but I am looking through my inspection report for the prop info and I do have the 24 pitch but I have no information on prop diameter?  Can anyone help with diameter size?  From a little internet pricing, it appears it would be almost $1800 to replace port and starboard sets of props?  That is a little steep.  Any ideas on cost reductions?

Try Hill Marine. My props would cost 740 each and they have a 30 day trial period. Opps, dont Bravo 3 have dual props? If so I started a thread on that: 4 Blade, 5 blade, or stay with 3 blade?

The B-III prop sets are expensive. There are limited choices for them, diameter is fixed as far as I know. You can upgrade to a 4 blade forward prop, rear stays at 3. Need to be in sets too.

12 people you might very well need to escort a few more towards the bow too.

My boat is night and day going from 24 to 22P.

Agree...I took the advice from Al and BD and went to 22P. Absolutely the right move and felt like a different boat. Speed to plane and maneuverability both improved dramatically.

Soo..  I need to pickup some 22P's  it sounds like.  Can you tell me what rpm you are able to get at wot with your 22p's and what speed?  Still chasing down why I can't get past 3800-4000 rpm with my 24p's

3800-4000 rpm is my cruise rpm  too much pitch will limit your engine rpm. You'll pick up ~400 rpm by going to 22P. Probably more as your engines are lugging.  I had that same problem.

BD, were you able to sell off your 24P's.  Also, should i get the 4 blade or 3 blade versions

The boat was 2 years old, so I complained to Rinker and they swapped me out for free. I'm sure you could sell the 24P. I'm not sure of all the +/- of the 4 blade version. Have to dig into that one.

Wife submitted her blessings on a new prop set.  Through the conversations it sounds like 22p but 3 blade or 4 blade?  I want to make sure I'm doing the right thing as these are expensive!

Ping AlSwagg on here about the 4 blade props. He might have a set of 22P to sell, got to ask though.

You will not regret moving to the 22P.

Al, any interest on 24p b3's on trade?  Are yours 3 blade or 4 blade?

All B3 drives are dual props.
