Outdrive shakes terribly on start up?

Hi ... I have  a 2005 270 with a Volvo outdrive that shakes significantly on start up. I immediately shut it down and restart and everything is fine. Today it also did while in neutral and the engine had been running for a few minutes but shaking stopped as soon as I put it in gear. Has anyone experienced this in the past? I had the boat pulled out of the water to have bellows replaced and this problem looked at but my initial discussion with the mechanic made me think he really had never run into this before so any help might go a long way. Thanks

I'd suspect a ujoint failing.

Sure that's not the engine shaking.

Thanks guys, and yes I am sure it is the outdrive not the engine.

As much as it embarrasses me, I must report for the benefit of others my problem was low steering fluid ....all good know
