Issues with new flooring in 342 cabin?

We got a roll of Lonseal flooring for the cabin of our 342. Lining up an installer to put it in "correctly". Wondering, how much of a pain is it to remove and replace the cabin stairs?  What is under the carpet (wood or fiberglass)? How hard is it to pull the carpet up? I'm just replacing the floor. Leaving the sides on. Just looking to see how much of a project this will turn into.

Wonder if a sub-floor would be any easier.

No big deal just messy and time consuming, tough to work in the confined space. I replaced my carpet with  laminate wood flooring, looks great but it was a lot of work.

What about the stairs? Remove or work around?

That was my thought.  I was just scared of the stairs not going back in easily.

Floor guy is coming to give an estimate on Tuesday.  Hope to have it installed in a few weeks.  Photos will follow.

You will most likely need to bring the base under the steps back to the same height otherwise the top screw holes won't align.

Spent the weekend getting the carpet on the floor out.  I was a little surprised to find that the carpet runs down the side by the dinette then across the floor.  Had to cut along that line.  But I got the carpet out.  Flooring guy is cued up for this week to do the install.   Will post pics when complete.
