Can you step on the cabin door?

05/270 and my door track seems to be binding-My grand daughter may have stepped on it a few times coming off up front-perhaps while not being latched. That latch looks pretty tuff- is that door strong enough to step on as you walk through the front glass? I am thinking it was partially open and that has what has bent something in the lower track....

I would not step on the cabin door on our boat.2002 FV 342 on Lake St. Clair - Past Commodore SHC - Vessel Examiner USCGAUX

Although I don't like it, my kids have stepped on the door, and it hasn't affected my track. My 13 year old did it a couple of times, but he's like 80 lbs at best (he plays a lot of sports and is pretty lean). Anyhow, if you are talking about young chidren, I don't think they could weigh enough to do any damage.Boat Name: King Kong

In my 342 and now 370, I've had adults walk on the closed cabin door many times with no problems. Does the 270 have a different door? Or is it only a problem when the door isn't latched? -

Have you seen those stickers on airplane wings that say "NO STEP?" Well you can buy them:

342 must be a heavier duty door....
