fuel gauge problem

I have a 2002 Rinker 250...My mechanic says the fuel gauge that is in a multi gauge in the center of the dash needs a plug or connector to the gauge...I called Rinker parts and Cindy says they do not carry this part any longer...I tried to call Teleflex which is the gauge manufacturer and they were bought out buy V3 Instruments...V3 gave me a part number and to call a distributer but I am still having a problem trying to locate it...Can anyone help to locate this plug..

Can you post the V3 part number?

It may be cheaper to just replace the gauge.

Okay I found it on battsracing.com   The part # is DT06-08SA plug assembly with stamped sockets, nickel, 16-18 AWG option....Now I just ordered it and haven't received it yet so I don't know if it works...I have to have it installed and see if it works...I will let you know...

That's just a Deutsch connector commonly used on engines and vehicles of all types.

Not so common if you don't know which one it is......The plug is $10.00 and the gauge is $425.00....
