342 Fiesta Vee Steering Cable

Hi all, I'm trying to replace the steering cable in my 2002 342 FV due to the steering being extremely hard to turn.  I know the cable is made by Teleflex but obviously need the length.  Has anyone with a 342 every replaced their cable?  If not I will have to get on the boat and strip it and measure up.

Just curious, have you ruled out the power steering pump as a problem?

Good question.  Im pretty sure the steering wheel should move although it would be quite stiff without assisted steering.  I've got pretty much nothing which makes me think the cable, that and the fact it's been sitting for quite some time.  Let me know your thoughts.

You can hydroock the cable if you grease it in the wrong position too.

Agreed it would be very hard to move, but it would move.  

Maybe a shot of WD40 from the helm?
