New Mercury V-6 Block (Sterndrive) 250 HP

Has anyone seen the new Mercury V-6 sterndrive I/O? It's a lighter weight more powerful, higher tech 250 HP powerhouse which Merc makes from scratch - no more GM block. It has a lot of up-graded parts like, high rise, high volume intake manifolds....looks really cool. They mention it will mate to Bravo drives including the B3....that oughta change the game for some small cruisers.

    The new Merc diesel does look nice. A huge change in weight and technology.

    I read an article on it the other day. It looks sweet. I also saw somewhere that they came out with a new 6.2L engine as well that was designed from the ground up. No GM block on that one either.

    The specs look great. If I was in the market to repower I'd be reluctant to be the first kid on the block with the new product from any manufacturer. This applies to cars, trucks, any mechanical transportation related product really. A couple of years of real world use is usually good enough to work out any shortcomings.
