Cabin Lights/Swim Platform LED Conversion

Hey all...the first thing I did on my last boat was switch my cabin lights out for LED for obvious reasons.  I want to do the same with my 280 EC. Does anyone have a link perhaps to where I can get replacement LED bulbs? I need 11 of them. Also for the transom light as well?

Also - How in the **** do you get to the actual bulb in the cabin? I tried last weekend but I didn't want to break anything.

Any help would be appreciated!

superbrightleds.com has lots of them.  I switched my transom light for an LED fixture.

I ended up changing the fixtures with the exact replacement model, but in LED. I couldn't figure out how to remove the lens, but the fixture itself just pulls down. I started with the two above the TV to see if I liked the new ones and I was hooked... I replaced my transom (swim platform) light with this one from Attwood. It fit in the hole and the screws lined up, so no drilling. http://www.attwoodmarine.com/store/product/6556

Greg, so after you got it off, was it easy to figure out how the lens comes off, or do you need to take the entire fixture off to get at the bulb?

Holy cr*p Greg you use that 3nm light for your transom swim light? You put that sucker on and you'll light-up he whole marina. The couple at a slip across from you better had better be dressed at night when you flip the switch! LOL

I replaced the entire fixture. Others on here stated that there is a ring that holds the lens in place, but I couldn't find it.

That is all that I could find that was a close fit. It is very brite! Fortunately for that couple I have a dock box that blocks most of the light.

Haha, for 40 bucks its easy enough to swap out.

Is the transom light just a courtesy light or a navigation light?

I believe it is this one. I replaced mine with the LED that is listed above.

It's a bright beacon that can be used to pinpoint where you're rowing back to after a long drunken party on an island   It's the first thing I added to this boat.. row back to the boat, rinse off in the shower and go pass out downstairs.. nothing more fun than that on a summer's night.  (not kidding, makes it easy to pickout which boat is yours in a field of boats anchored for the night)
