CHART PLOTTER NAVIGATION SYSTEM SOFTWARE - Laptop/Tablet

Anyone know of "CHART PLOTTER NAVIGATION SYSTEM SOFTWARE" that can be downloaded also with charts around the UK and for use on a Laptop or Tablet.

    There are a couple that I read on the internet. You can buy a external GPS that plugs into the bottom of an iPad. The software you purchase it on the Apple App Store. Has everything.

    Check your app store for Navionics. I use them on my Android powered Dell Tablet. I know the have an app for the ipads.

    I maybe confusing the question for what I'm looking for.

    Basically a system/software like a GPS/SatNav used on land in cars etc. Showing my position on the chart. No long distance cruising, just local waters/harbours in my area.

    Again,....Check your app store for Navionics. I use them on my Android powered Dell Tablet. I know they have an app for the ipads.

    There are also a bunch of different maps for places throughout the world.
